Your first visit

What happens, in order

Plan on an hour: 20 minutes for the skin check and 40 for the facial.

  1. 01

    Step 1: Book your visit

Choose a first visit on the booking page, or call. A deposit holds your time and goes toward your service. The skin check comes before the facial, in the same hour.

  2. 02

    Step 2: What to bring

Nothing, really. If you have a moisturizer or a wash you use, bring it or photograph it. Tell us how often you shave and with what.

    • Your moisturizer, or a photo of it

    • A list of any skin medicines

  3. 03

    Step 3: When you arrive

Suite B is at street level, off the courtyard on Main Street. Parking is in the lot behind the building. Come five minutes early and sit in the lounge.

  4. 04

    Step 4: What to expect

We talk first, then look at your skin under the lamp before touching it. The facial follows, and you can ask us to slow down or stop at any point.

The lounge

Somewhere to sit and settle in

Two treatment rooms open off a short hall, and the lounge is where you wait. There's a sofa, a window and nothing on a screen. A friend or partner is welcome to wait there during your visit.

  • Street-level entrance, off the courtyard

  • Parking behind the building

  • Water and a place to sit when you're done

A waiting lounge with a curved cream sofa, a low stone table with a bowl of citrus, and tall windows

Afterward

Your routine card, in three steps

At the end of the visit we write this out for you, with the products you already own where we can.

  • Wash gently

Rinse with cool or lukewarm water and a mild wash, and pat dry. Hot water and a hard rub take off more than shaving already does.

    • Once in the morning and once at night is plenty

    • Pat your skin, don't rub it

  • Moisturize while damp

Put moisturizer on while your skin is still a little damp, especially right after you shave. Dry air takes the water first.

    • One you like the feel of, so you'll use it

    • Ask us at the visit and we'll look at the one you have

  • Protect in the morning

A moisturizer with sunscreen, or a separate sunscreen, on your face and the back of your neck. The sun is strong here, even in winter.

    • Check what your moisturizer says on the label

    • Reapply if you're outside for hours
