Dry air
Shaved skin, a mile up
Littleton sits at the foot of the mountains, where the air holds very little water. Shaving takes off a little of the skin's surface, and dry air takes a little of the water. Many clients tell us their face feels tight by noon in winter.
We can't change the weather. We can plan the facial, and the routine on your card, around it.
Small things that come up often
A cooler, shorter shower
Moisturizer on while skin is damp
Sunscreen, even in winter

How the visit changes with the weather
General notes, which your esthetician confirms for your skin.
Winter
Heat on, humidity low. We keep towels warm, go lightly with steam and put more time into moisturizer.
Spring
Wind and quick swings in temperature. We ask whether your skin reacts to the change and adjust the mask.
Summer
Strong sun and long days outside. Sunscreen and what to use after a shave lead the card.
Fall
The air dries out again. It's a good month to look at your routine before winter does.
